Description

"It was over 80 years ago when a certain Felix Macauley established a fountain pen factory in Newhaven on the site of a redundant First World War army transit camp. Consisting of no more than a few ex-army huts the Felix Pen Works’ was soon producing Fountain Pens and special gold pen nibs.

From these very humble beginnings in 1921 the factory was gradually transformed by various owners and specifically Parker Pen into what is probably the largest and most technically advanced Quality Pen Factory anywhere in the World. Using original documents, Parker Pen House magazines, his own and other individuals’ memories Malcolm Troak has traced the history of the Newhaven Pen factory from its original beginnings in 1921 until the current period of time.

This book is lavishly illustrated with images and prints which serve to bring to life the fascinating story of Newhaven’s Pen factory."
